A Piece of Cake was one of the worst experiences I have ever had to deal with! Stephanie is very unprofessional! We had multiple problems starting with her catering. But the worst was showing up to my wedding reception to see a tiny cake because she dropped half of it! Once we finally cut into the cake, it was not the flavor or fillings we ordered. A piece of cake did a fantastic job for my wedding. They were reasonably priced and I got everything I wanted. They came to cut the cake which was really awesome. Really glad we went with them.
My experience with a piece of cake was great. My wife was a nightmare! She had been watching "bridezilla" for years, and believed that "everything has to be perfect." Scary huh! Anyway, she put Stephanie (the owner) through the ringer. During the meeting my wife asked questions that would scare most husbands back on the market, but Stephanie patiently gave Melissa the attention she deserves. I had A Piece Of Cake make my wedding Cake. They did a great job. I am very pleased with the Time and attention that was given to me. I gave Stephanie a photo out of a book and she actually made it just like in the picture, but better! I also had her do the Catering. It was great. We couldnt have asked for a better caterer or cake person. We were very happy with this Company. I totally would refer them to anyone who will listen (:
They are not a bakery but nobody told the cake lady that because we got a 4 star wedding cake from them. They were nice and we got a great deal. Ive gotten food from them for years, who knew they did cakes too-
My experience with A Piece of Cake was also not so pleasant. At the beginning there was no contract offered and the copy that I finally did receive was very unprofessional with little detail present. No arrive time, departure time or additional services, such as set up fees or cake cutting fees, were included. My experience with Stephanie was horrible. I had to work around her schedule not mine and I was the customer, she did not return my calls, she did not show up to one appt, she collected a deposit and stated that it was refundable based on the liking of her cakes. When I asked for a refund she changed what she initially stated. I was willing to pay for \$3 per cake sample and per a phone conversation she said she would mail it and did not. Lesson learned: do a contract!!!!
Speaking of getting the wrong cake on one of the most important days of my life, A Piece of Cake is completely unprofessional. I seriously dont understand how specifics on a contract can be misconstrued and then I didnt even receive an apology when the situation was laid out. Squared, our vases, our invites, our Web site...all about our LV squared initials.
