Kirstie and my teenager’s support person Laura have provided something unique to my teenager as they navigate ‘usual’ teenage angst but also some extra areas that were consuming their headspace. Laura’s openness and natural warmth made each session feel like a friend catch-up, but also my child realising how good it feels to just chat. Like a safe adult friend you can say anything to. We've collaborated with a path to follow a few times now and they are a fantastic organisation that is a great support for young people!
Kirstie was my mentor when I was a student here. This is a service that leads by example, the peer led model offers no textbook answers to trauma, just exploring ways to further connection within families and no-agenda support. Given the nature of the industry and the effects of the lockdown especially children and families, we were supporting, I got some real practical insights into staying calm in the eye of a storm from Kirstie.
