I cannot say enough great things about OT, Alyssa. She has been so helpful and encouraging through the highs and lows of the early weeks with my baby girl.
As a father and husband, it can be tough to watch your partner and little one struggle to "get into a rhythm" with breastfeeding. Although we got lots of tips and tricks from nurses at the hospital, it was a massive help to have Alyssa give us further direction on how to optimize breastfeeding in our own home. Her training as a Occupational Therapist, warmth, and experience are all reasons why I would highly recommend her to anyone that has had a baby.
My infant son (who was premature) and I worked alongside Alyssa when we were just getting started breastfeeding, and she helped us immensely as we navigated latching, weaning from nipple shields, positioning, and overall OT/lactation support. She is a very warm and positive person, which contributed to our now successful story of moving from bottle to breast after a NICU stay. I can't say enough good things about Alyssa. She is warm, understanding, and incredibly supportive. Her guidance completely changed my experience with breastfeeding. She helped me with numerous concerns, and I went from dreading feedings to feeling relaxed and confident in my ability to feed my son. I would highly recommend connecting with her if you have any challenges with breastfeeding.
