A-Med is the best transport service in New Orleans- the drivers are very gentle and careful w the patients - they drive on steady safe roads - avoiding bumpy Nola streets - and the ambulance ride is steady and stable - it was the best transport ride we have had since my sister got sick.
I am presently a resident at Wyhhoven Community Care Center. I was scheduled for a 7 am pickup. After I made multiple inquiries someone arrive at approximately 7:20-7:25 am. They then informed me I couldn't be transported in my wheelchair because it had a pad on the seat. After debate with the facility about proper notification of policy I finally got into a seat in the van. The driver didn't assist me at all. Driver Tierney Kerry was exceptional with every aspect of the needed transportion from hospital to skilled nursing unit. Caring, helpful, and understanding are the first words that come to mind when I think of her. Tierney arrived at the estimated wait time given. Appreciated the wheelchair transport over the stretcher as well.
Scheduled transportation two days prior to my aunts release from rehab facility. Was told to expect driver to be there between 12:30 and 2:30 for transport back home. Driver “Dallas” was at facility at noon. She was more than accommodating and super compassionate in transporting my 90 year old wheelchair bound aunt back home. Thank you Dallas for taking care of our precious cargo! ❤️
