My wife and I had a lovely weekend stay at A Kingston Bed and Breakfast! We received an upgrade and our room was very spacious and comfortable with a lot of natural light. The breakfasts were so delicious, especially the waffles. We had a fun time chatting with our host Alicja, learning about her experience immigrating to NYC and ultimately becoming a bed and breakfast host. Very cute bed and breakfast, a quick walk to uptown Kingston shopping and dining. Had a lovely stay, the host is a riot and very accommodating.
Kingston is a very walkable town filled with history and great restaurants. A Kingston B and B is close to all of this! Alicja, the innkeeper, was very accommodating to our crazy schedule. She provided me with a coffee station when I told her I was an early riser. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious and the conversation around the table was always interesting. The Victorian house was filled with period pieces that added to its charm and comfort.
I hesitated before writing and posting this review: The bed was very comfortable. In fact, I dont remember sleeping so well; Breakfasts were exquisite. However, when we arrived the room had not been cleaned properly and the room and bathroom are cramped (even stiffling) and not very functional. The owner is very sweet but she is invasive and overbearing as she assumes (wrongly) that her guests want to be 'entertained' by her lifestory, which is extremely presumptious. She would sit with us at breakfast anbd babble on and on.... read more
A beautiful home and incredible host! The room was stunning and the furnishings really made the place feel special. The delicious home made breakfast was the cherry on top! Highly recommend everyone to take a visit
