Aide arrived at our home, realized the level of care needed was more than she was prepared for, called a cab and left. This has happened multiple times.

In general, the aides do not possess even basic capabilities expected of an HHA. Nurses from outside A&J who have come into my home have been shocked at the ineptitude of A&J. Their website says their staff is trained in disease-specific care - this is patently untrue.

We have had this home health aid agency for a little over a week (about 2 weeks or so). Generally speaking it has been an interesting experience for our family. Since the aides seem to think that the clients family should prompt them to speak with the client, feed the client a proper meal, interact with the client, not solely focus on their phone all day and ignore the client, us the TV, take the client out for walks, brush the clients teeth at night, put proper clothes on the client and coordinate most of the aides daily du... read more

I wouldn't let this agency watch my dog. Many of the aides • can't read • can't tell time • can't follow basic instructions • have an attitude when given patient, constructive feedback • fall asleep during their shifts It's not really the aides fault, the agency sets them up to fail by not assessing their qualifications or competence before hiring them. Unfortunately, you won't find much better among Medicaid-subsidized agencies. Evidently you need no skills or abilities to be an HHA, having a pulse is simply enough.
