DO NOT USE. Absolute crooks. Did not honor their 5-year warranty after they attempted to seal off the crawl space in 2020 (was likely never actually sealed off) and instead said it would cost an additional $2500 to repair. Ended up having to have it completely redone in 2024 by another company because water was getting in the space. The new company said a very cheap dehumidifier was used originally. Statute of limitations is 3 years so I was not able to sue.
These guys sealed, insulated, killed mold, and got rid of all the crickets crawling on the wet walls over 3 months ago below my townhouse. They also installed a dehumidifier there and put a portable monitor in my kitchen so I can see what the temp. is and the humidity down there at any time. Since all this was done my electric bill has come down and everything is nice and dry and always a few degrees cooler or warmer than the outside temp.. If I could give Healthy Homes and Kip a -5 stars I would. He doesn't honor his contract by completing the work he promises. He tells you everything will be taken care of but doesn't follow through. After several ignored calls and texts, it cost me extra money and time to replace the crawl space door he said he would replace as part of the encapsulation to the crawl space. My mistake was paying in full. I wouldn't do business with this company ever. Looks like he has fooled a few.
I highly recommend you do NOT hire Kip and A healthy home. Despite the other positive reviews, the experience I have had has been nothing short of Unprofessional, Dishonest, and outright Devious. Kip was hired after my basement flooded at the recommendation of my neighbor. We agreed on a Price-- and he gave me a "discount" if I paid "on the spot with credit card because he needed the cash right then for other business expenses". Being asked to pay via Credit Card on a handshake VS a true contract and invoice was my first mis... read more
