Went in 2021 for double process from Katacita. She did her best but does not specialise in double process, during a root touch up she burned off a good portion of my hair. She also gave me chemical burns to my scalp. She used a different toner than the one I typically get without communicating to me fully what that would look like, so my hair came out intensely yellow. Had amazing hair cut, highlight, and toner experience here with Emu! The result turns out very well. Chair where you wash the hair is so comfy that I fell asleep every time

I flew all the way from SF to have my hair done by Emu. She is the only person I trust to color and cut my fine dark hair. Extremely knowledgeable, high attention to detail (+ the skill to execute, which you know is hit or miss in NY), and always gives the best tailored advice to care for my hair post processing. We did a double process balayage with root smudge and money pieces after 10 months of growth. Barry is always amazing! Have been seeing barry for my hair for at least a year or more now. I have curly hair (curly type maybe 2b/2c?), i get scared of where i go because ive had bad hair experiences in the past. I also now have a lot of whites but im not a huge fan of dyeing my hair. I made an appointment with Jamie on July 17 for a touch up and a haircut. I was new to the salon and had heard good things about it. I showed her pictures of the color and style of the haircut. She told me what she wanted to do and I told her I wanted to be a yellow blonde and I wanted layers in my hair.
