Truly friendly owner and staff. Extremely helpful and the facility is clean and safe. Our things were safe and secure there for nearly 30 years.
I am on a road trip from Colorado and needed a place to store some valuables before heading into San Francisco for a couple of days. Truck w topper and Colorado plates screamed come rob me per locals, friends and AI.I contacted Ron and he offered to let me store my stuff for free. Although the space didn't quite fit my needs, the fact he offered to a total stranger is incredible. After meeting Ron he also sent me fun suggestions of things to do in San Francisco.
We had an excellent experience with Friendly Storage in San Rafael! We reserved our unit in advance while moving into the area, and the check-in process was fast, smooth, and hassle-free. Accessing the storage is exceptionally convenient—it’s right on the street level with no gates to navigate, first-floor units, and 7-day-a-week access. Moving is never fun but I had an excellent experience with this company! Tracy and Ron went above and beyond to take care of my storage needs. They were kind and incredibly accommodating, since my movers had to leave my boxes outside. I was blown away by their willingness to help solve my issue on moving day and showed me so much kindness and respect. This place is great! After being in multiple other storage places, and getting rent increased & having dirty environments, I found these guys. Tracy & Ron are awesome!! After I signed my contract and before I moved in they RE-PAINTED my storage space. The place is clean, well kept, easy to access, and economical (if you don’t require drive-up units), and personable. I highly recommend A Friendly Storage Place.
