I chose to become a physician due to a positive experience with a physician when I was 15 years old. I had an accident which resulted in the need for orthopedic care. The emergency room (ER) physician who cared for me was sensitive to my being frightened and alone (my parents were both working and it took a while for them to get to the hospital). Dr. Gunter is hands down the most amazing OB. He performed my emergency c-section after I was induced for 48 hours. He stayed after his shift to do my c-section and I sobbed the whole time, but his bedside manner and calm reassurance was everything after a traumatic labor (first time mama). I never felt rushed at appointments with him and he is one of the most genuinely kind humans and Drs I’ve ever met. I would love to have him deliver baby #2 whenever we are ready!

I was accepted as a new patient by Dr. Gunter after a terrible prenatal experience with my previous provider who lost her privilege to deliver at hospitals and never told her patients about that. I went to ER and fortunately Dr. Gunter was there on call that day. He was so compassionate to accept me at 41 weeks. God put me in good hands else I can’t imagine what would’ve happened
