The chimney sweeper came in and beat on our flue with a crow bar for about 20 minutes. He did not come with a ladder or any tools. He asked us for WD40 and paper and a lighter. He said he couldn't finish the work on this day and would be back in 3 days. When he left, our flue would not open, nothing was cleaned, and we still can't use out fireplace. WE HAD TO PAY HIM $200 for absolutely nothing!! Lesson learned. Btw, he never showed up 3 days later and never called.
