This store racially profiled me and my brother (we're a black ). When I first walked into the store, the owners stared me down with a disgusted look. Furthermore, the lady who also worked in the store followed me and my brother around the store as we browsed around. Lastly, what infuriated me the most was the fact that the lady made me leave my bag at the cashier register as a "safety precaution". This continued on as me and my brother continued browsing. Great neighborhood hardware store. They are competent and courteous
I had a very unpleasant interaction with the store manager, Aubrey Hunter, who was rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily curt. I was made to feel like a nuisance, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. This experience alone would make me hesitant to return. If I were the owner of this business I would be very embarrassed by that behavior and want to know.
