I ordered an edible cake topper from A Birthday Place. I received an email confirmation from the company. The next day I received an email stating their website hadnt charged me the full price. I was asked if I would like to pay the difference or receive a smaller cake topper. The owner made a lot of excuses but would not take responsibility for the error. This is a bad business practice. I offered to send the item she paid for or let her upgrade. She did not want to do either and asked to cancel. I cancelled immediately.
Their shipping policy does not match what they advertise. I paid for expedited shipping (over $30.00) and it took them two days to ship an in stock item. Their policy says it would be shipped the next day if after the 3pm cutoff. They took an extra day even though I paid for fast shipping. It seems like a good value, but if you need something within the week I would not have confidence in their service.

There were ice storms across the southeast that caused roads to be closed as well as no shipping services to be open. What she is referring as the 3pm cutoff is the time to send a personalized message, not the shipping time. We have listed that we will ship in 1-2 business days on our shipping policy. After shopping around, these guys were the best for my situation due to their huge variety of available birthday supplies. I placed an order through ******* but unfortunately it would not have come on time so I asked to cancel the order. Even though it was late at night, they immediately emailed me back saying they could cancel the order and have me order on their site so I could upgrade my shipping which was surprisingly affordable.
