I never leave bad reviews but this place was so bad that I had to. 1. The cabin smelled absolutely disgusting. It almost smelled like like a cat had peed everywhere. 2. The hot tub was broke our entire stay. When we showed up around 7pm, there was a hose in the hot tub overflowing it with freezing cold water. Their negligence to turn the water off before we arrived causes our future issues. The cottage pictured is not the one we stayed in. Two adult couples, one BR & bath on main level and BR & Bath upstairs. Nice size well equipped kitchen. We always cook at least one main meal a day. Covered deck with hot tub that easily accommodated four adults. Trail down to a quiet pond with dock and picnic shelter a nice surprise. Was unable to get live college football game on provided TV service, required using login of our personal streaming service to access national over the air signal feed. This was the most disappointing and frustrating travel experience I have ever had - and, frankly, the most appalling. We stayed at the Scott and Zelda (The Gatsby). First, the lockbox code was changed from the time I made my reservation, and I was never notified about the change. This left us standing outside, fiddling with the lock, for about an hour before we received the new code. Second, the unit itself stunk of mold and had clear water damage. I don't normally rate a place badly, but I would have wanted to hear about this experience before booking this cottage. My family and I stayed in the Swank Sinatra cottage over the Thanksgiving weekend for 2 nights. A few big issues - no working smoke detector. I checked the only one in the large home and it had no battery. No carbon monoxide monitor either. I had to ask the manager next door for a battery which he provided. My husband and I stayed at the Scott and Zelda cottage and the overall experience was disappointing. There was a big bee problem within the house, dead bees around the patio door and entry door. Multiple holes in the walls that should be addressed due to the bee problem. All my husband and I did was clean up bees whenever we were at the house. We stayed a total of 3 nights.
