They charged me and didn't install the parts or do the labor until I asked for the parts they changed out. Icome to find out they didn't do the labor or install the parts but was more than happy to take my money. I would highly recommend you go to another shop to get work done. They are very unorganized and over charge for work you have to check after to make sure they actually did it. I'm surprised their still in business....thank god my wife didn't take my truck in. My wife and I took our pickup there to have the transmission rebuilt. They kept their word on cost and time of completion. We had a gasket go out between the transmission and transfer case, we were over on the warranty as far as miles were concerned. But they covered it anyhow. I highly recommend them to anyone... A1 transmission called the police on me on 10-16-15 because I wanted a refund for my van that They did NOT fix and when I asked him to show me my broken bearings that he took out to prove to me that my van was broken in the first place, he told me he threw them away, I said how can you throw them away I only drove two blocks away. do not take you car here they will scam you!!!! This company scams customers. I took my car in a week ago today and it still isn't fixed. He asked me to pay in advance on Friday so he can deposit it and my car would be done on Saturday morning. Imaging my surprise when I showed up Friday morning and the shop was locked up tight. I called and told him I was calling the police as I had a receipt I was paid in full. He returned and gave me my money back, The same money I paid him with in the same envelope, (Deposited on Friday??) So on Monday there was yet another excuse why... read more

My name is Dan Goff. I was buying a 97 Ford from a private owner. It had a transmision problem and I called this place. They sucked me in with a free tow to their shop. Told me several times they would have the transmission ready to report the issues and repairs needed that day that it would be about $700 to repair the T-converter. I had an emergency with my transmission while on the I-5 heading south towards southern California,I called A-1 transmission and the manager Curly,had a tow truck right out to get me and my Jaguar XJ8 ,with in an hours time from when we arrived with my vehicle,they found the problem and explained to me it was an electrical part,in portnd some 45 miles away,Curly made a phone call to a friend and his friend drove to Portland and picked up the part and delivered back, as soon as the part arrived the mechanic Danny installed it... read more
