Dave and company worked on both of our cars and did a superior job. Our cars have never run better. If you feel your transition slipping or just not feeling, I can highly recommend A1. The prices are very reasonable and they are really professional and caring.
went I for transmission problems. manual transmission was grinding into gears and was difficult to shift. they looked at it and recomended a rebuild or replacement so I had them order and install a used transmission (I was being cheap) turned out the used transmission had issues so they replaced it again free of charge. I went back to A1 for brakes, CV shafts, shocks, and suspension/linkage rebuild. they did all the work at a verry good price. my truck hasn't run this good in years.
Bigeyes that I want were great to do it with and very honest with me. I had taken my transmission problem to another shop here in town and they told me it would be $3000 to fix it. I didn’t trust them I felt funny dealing with them so I took it to a one transformation and Jeff and James told me I didn’t even have a transmission problem that it was an electrical problem. Great people to deal with. They saved me a bunch of money on my repair that another shop said would be like $2000 to fix. They got me back on the road the next day. I will definitely be going back and would recommend them to anyone.
Crooked, overpriced service. The bottom line - Slow service: took A-1 Transmission 7 days before they even took my transmission apart - Expensive: charged $810 for a job that takes approximately 5-6 hours. Other shops quoted $350-$550 for an 8 hour job of similar scope (old transmission out, new transmission in). - Evident lack of expertise: A-1 Transmission’s solution to any problem is to buy a rebuild kit and swap parts, even if the rebuild kit is not required. I bought a car from A-1 Auto across the street from the A-1 transmission which Jeff owns both of them. They sold me a lemon and promised to fix it. It's been 2 months and 1,300 dollars later and still no car. The price of the car was 10,00 after the finance charges it would have costs 19,000. They suck. DO NOT BUY A CAR THERE.
