More about A-1 Stoves Chimneys & Awnings Our business started in 1988 as a chimney sweep service in Grass Valley, CA, founded and operated by Hubert and his wife Wilma. Later we added a retail store front and an internet sales website selling fireplaces, stoves, parts and accessories all over North America. In 2011 we decided to expand into Chico, when we found out that there was a need for a dedicated and service oriented hearth products store offering a large range of high quality fireplace products.

So wanted to love these guys. Did a great job for me in the past. Took over a month for them to come out. Double billed me compared to last visit. When I mentioned it, the service guy said no. After he left, the stove was STILL NOT FIXED and I verified they double-billed me compared to 11 months prior (I.e. 2 service visits listed) Close to $400 for less than 2 hours of work. Price gouging. Makes me sad.

Replaced our fireplace insert fan promptly and at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.
Can't say enough about these guys! I didn't expect them to make the appointment due to weather and 4" of snow on the roof but they did show on time and did a great job. A1 stoves is my go to guys for my chimney and stove work. I will definitely recommend them to my friends.
