I was quoted 8k, and told by Gene Messer (chevy house) that i needed a new reman transmission. So i ended up taking A-1 my Tahoe to save 4k and have them just rebuild the one i have. Expecting to pay 4k at A-1 for a rebuild, these guys found the problem, that the OEM couldn't find. It ended up costing me only about $500. They could have charged me full price for a rebuild, and i would have never known. That's what i was expecting, that's what chevy told me. We’ve had 2 different trucks taking to them. They would so call fix Transmissions and a week later our truck wouldn’t work right. All most $15,000 later for each pickup we had never lasted 3 months. we would call and they would tell us to bring in it in but it would be 3 weeks to wait. This business saved my Grandpa thousands of dollars. Scoggin-Dickey tried to take him for $7,700 for a new transmission and he got a second opinion from A-1 who found the issue was with an engine misfire instead. Prock Automotive did the repair for $970 and his vehicle drives like new again. God bless you all for remaining honest & having true integrity.
