Upscale Dining Went to 99 Main Restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Service was excellent. Limited menu items for people who are "meat and potato" types with unadventurous palates. The steak was excellent however the side dishes were not our favorites, and we did not get a choice. Portions were small. The dessert was excellent. Overall, it was quite expensive. It is probably not a place we will return to.
Probably my favorite restaurant on the Peninsula Interesting menu, great food, nice small atmosphere. Quality food, unique selections, great romantic spot for a dinner for two. Much better than any chain restaurant, they take pride in being different.
Treat Yourself & People You Love 99 Main Street is a wonderful restaurant. There are two eating areas - a more formal dining room and a more pub like area. Date nights are fun in either space, the more casual side is great for girls night out. Every morsel you eat is delicious! Would highly recommend! Pricier than many restaurants in Newport News but you are worth it!
You – The previous reviewer says this is the best restaurant ever, lectures people against writing negative reviews, then admits to being the owners daughter. All in very poor English. What does reviewer hope to accomplish? Does she actually think we are dumb enough to do what she says? Her review really turned me off.
Awesome restaurant – This restaurant has to be the best restaurant ever. And if u don't think this restaurant is goo than don't comment ok. When you comment on things it's wen you say good things about places and stuff. Not stuff that would hurt someone. By the way I am the daughter o the people that own 99 main restaurant! So eat there and your taste buds will never want to leave the food. Happy eating
