Stepping into the Buena Park outpost of 85°C Bakery Cafe, I hoped for the familiar comfort of a well‑executed Taiwanese bakery: warm breads, fragrant teas, and the hum of a place that takes pride in its craft. Instead, what I found was a shop that feels like it has drifted far from the standards that once made the brand beloved. The first disappointment arrives in the cup.
