Peter knows rugs. He came to my home to pick up two rugs for cleaning. Machine woven wool (Karastan), not super expensive, but hardly cheap. I also have a few hand knotted rugs. Peter cleaned our carpets basically for free as a package deal. Our kitchen and bathroom needs tile floors scrubbed and sealed. They really needed painting too. I paid Peter over $700 to clean and paint these two rooms. The work was absolutely PERFECT. He was done in 2 days, as promised. The day he painted, he was here about 9 hours. Peter just helped me avoid a $170,000 mistake! About a year ago, I came up here as a renter. Peter cleaned the carpets in my dingy apartment very well for less than $200. I started looking at condos to buy. I found one in New Windsor that I looked at last week. It smelled strongly of pet urine. The realtor said "that can be cleaned". I said do it. This guy re-cleaned a carpet some other company cleaned two weeks ago. He is not easy to get a hold of, or make an appointment with. He seems busy. That's the bad part. The good part is he does a very good job! The carpets will be completely dry in about 7 hours, not damp dry. He also gives a good price, at least for this area. In NYC, you can get carpets cleaned for about $20 per room, my parent's house was cleaned for about $120 a few weeks ago. Not possible up here. Peter is a great cleaner. I needed to get pet urine removed immediately. I am showing my house and my realtor said the odor was very noticeable so I hired someone to clean it. Not many choices at the last minute, so it was my fault. Once the perfume evaporated, the odors were right back and we had to cancel my first open house.
