His calling card is quick response, but he overcharges and doesn’t do a thorough job. He installed a new garbage disposal unit, charged me $450 for maybe 30 minutes’ work (that included the price of the unit) and then failed to install the new cap that came with the unit, leaving the old, rusting one in place. Shoddy.
Bait & Switch Scam. Get your bid in writing before letting him do any work. I was quoted $2,450 to replace a hot water heater and move our washing machine hookup. Once “completed” the invoice was $3,294 and he didn’t install the hot water heater to code or move the washing machine hookups at all. I requested he come back and finish the job. Charged $525 to snake a kitchen sink and reattach a garbage disposal in the process. His time was under an hour. When we asked him to clarify his billing, he said he would have to charge us more for a written receipt.
Gerardo took care of a significant blockage for an honest price and gave some helpful feedback about taking care of my system in the future.
I had a shutoff valve with a slow drip that didn't need an urgent fix, but when I called Gerardo, he came out within a couple hours and had it replaced within 20 minutes. It was quick, easy, and reasonably priced compared to trying to DIY it.
