Dr. Bostella Walker is very nice and a great listener. She takes her time and really helps you out. I’ve been doing hormone therapy with her. Plus it’s a one stop for everything- labs, X-rays. Only complaint is you have to call direct to radiology for mammogram and few appts and the appointment line doesn’t direct you on this or explain clearly so no appointments when I was there.
I’ve been dealing with the same referral and authorization issues for years. Every time I call, I’m told everything has been sent to my doctor’s office, but the doctor’s office says they never received it or that information is missing. I keep having to call back, and nothing gets resolved. Customer service is unhelpful, and calls are sometimes disconnected on purpose. Very disappointing experience. Lazy people.
I've had 4 PCMs in the past 18 months with continuity of care being pretty much non existent. It would be really amusing if it were not for the serious health concerns veterans have that require constant management. Been seeing a PCMs at MacDill since retiring in 2009 and recently was transferred to Sable Park. As a 30 year retired veteran I've not seen things this bad before in any military medical facility.
