Visiting family from Philly and needed a place to keep up with my lifting. I searched around and saw photos of their weight room and got a day pass online. From the moment I contacted them they were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. Their facility is large with great equipment (lots of benches, platforms, racks, rowers, rogue equipment etc.) and lots of space, indoor and outdoor. 5 Stones was welcoming from the first time I visited then joined about 2.5 years ago. I joined to improve BJJ skills and it led to feeling a part of a community. When things were not going well people empathized. When things were great they celebrated. It is much more than a gym, it is a community with a purpose. I moved from the area recently and will miss it a lot and try to visit when I can!
This has been one the best places I’ve trained at ever. They have a multitude of training options, classes, equipment and everything is at a very affordable rate. God bless 5 stones.
This place is simply an indescribable gem that must be experienced to truly appreciate. The fusion of a church, a gym, and a fight club with youth outreach may seem to be an unlikely union, however, upon meeting some of the core people, it totally makes sense how this works. You can't help but feel love and SERIOUS respect for these people.
Great place to learn submission grappling, striking, and workout. The head grappling instructor, Bob, teaches effective techniques and prioritizes student safety and a positive culture. He’s an old school BJJ black belt and former D-1 wrestler. The school has a nice weight room, huge mat room, a boxing ring, and lots of bags to hit. I’m a BJJ brown belt with 9 years of experience training in Southern California. I highly recommend this school.
