Excellent communication and went the extra mile to fix complicated issues with the Land Rover. Dealer level knowledge and experience without the costs, recommended.
Took my Range Rover in for a DPF clean. The mechanic was really helpful, explaining the process in layman's terms. I never knew that nothing but short journeys could cause issues with the DPF, so I’m glad I got it sorted before it became a bigger problem for the over all engine, who knew!! Definitely recommend .
Ford Ranger, just over 4 years old, engine warning light, spanner light, RED warning for gearbox overheating. Broken down on M9, rescued by AA and got dropped here (they very kindly held on for me arriving). After a check round and a plug in on 2 different computers they found that it had drunk its gearbox oil and had a choked up DPF to go with it. Went to him with a broken passenger door on my Discovery Sport. Charges you £150 just to look at your car. Couldn’t diagnose the problem after payment, wanted to replace modules that were working fine. You can pick up the part he was wanting to replace for £50, he was wanting to charge me £500 plus labour on top of that. Took the car to another 4x4 garage, problem diagnosed and fixed for £200, just needed a new door latch. No charge to look at the car.
My Land Rover Discovery was collected from Glasgow and taken to 4x4 Specialists in Alva for engine diagnostics and repairs. I was looking for companies nearby Glasgow so I'm happy I found this hidden gem. The fault finding was straight forward and quick much to my surprise. I would highly recommend 4x4 Specialists.
