I can't say enough good things about 40 West Auto Repair on Baltimore National Pike! My 2019 Chevy Tahoe had a frustrating "tin can" rattle whenever I accelerated or cruised between 20 and 30 mph. After tracking down the issue, I found that the exhaust band clamp between the exhaust pipe and catalytic converter had become rusty and loose. I have been coming to 40 West Auto Repair for more than 7 years and overall I had good experiences in the past. However, during my most recent oil change, I noticed a burning smell afterward. When I opened the hood, I found smoke coming from oil that appeared to have spilled onto the exhaust. Thankfully nothing serious happened, but it was concerning and I hope they pay closer attention to this in the future. I’m sharing this so other customers can double-check their vehicles after service.

NEVER EVER GO TO THIS SHOP!!!!!!!!! This Shop Is Horrible Please Read The Reviews Before Coming Here. I Made A HUGE Mistake Not Doing So. Terrible Shop & Then Rude On Top Of That 0/5
