Building is dirty. No fresh air. Windows don't open. Apartment and appliances were filthy upon move-in. Horrible odors out of vents. They nickel and dime you. Make you pay more than posted price. Raise rent during the year. Then find multiple ways to steal your deposit. Even if your apartment is clean and undamaged, they make you wait two months for your deposit, then find multiple other ways to deduct from the deposit 'according to the lease'.
Property management just informed my wife and I yesterday that our AC and HVAC unit as a whole will not be working or functional for at least a month or more. The room is completely sealed with large hotel style windows facing East that do not open, meaning we are now sealed in a 90 degree plus room day and night with zero relief. Running the oven, dishwasher and/or dryer makes the situation exponentially worse and uninhabitable. HVAC system does not function properly. Apartment units are connected so if one unit is on heat no one can be on any other setting . Apartment regularly reaches 80 degrees in the winter and no windows that open either. Management has stated that there is no fix for the issue and that it all depends on the units people are connected too. Moving out of the lease early due to this problem and no compensation for Total Utility package for months HVAC was not operational $265 a month fixed price.
Living in 39 Columbia downtown Albany. A/C does not work from October-May. Our room gets super hot from the sun. Above 90 degrees. No balcony, can’t open window. Heater also does not work right most of the time. Old management team never try to fix it. If you want to rent with them please reconsider. Additionally, decide to contact new staff Shealyn.
