Selekman was unable to listen and understand my issues. Felt very dismissive and often finished my sentences with something totally different than what I was gonna say-missing the point. He also gave off very traditional and disrespectful. He seems like a good social worker for recovering alcoholics and people with physical disorders, but is unable to effectively work through trauma and integrate. Never had a therapist just stop accepting my phone calls. Buddy seemed more interested in teaching me about meditation (which I’ve been practicing for years) and showing me his collection of books for sale on Amazon. I said work stress was my reason for seeking therapy but I’m a human— obviously there’s more. I suppose that was of minimal interest to their employee.
