I brought my 03 Passat in for a alignment. They put it on the rack right away. I had been aligned about two months earlier at a different shop. I had been hearing a clunking sound when turning but was unable to locate the source. The other shop said everything looked good. They did the alignment but after a month the steering wheel was no longer straight and both outer tie rod boots were badly torn. I decided to replace the tie rod ends.
