Their extra lean pastrami on a challah roll with mustard & sauerkraut is easily the best pastrami I’ve had not just in New York City, but anywhere (including the most famous pastrami delis like Katz’s Deli in NYC & Schwartz’s Deli in Montreal). The meat is cut super thinly and didn’t have a drop of fat visible. Challah roll was fresh and fluffy, with quality mustard & delicious sauerkraut that paired perfectly with the pastrami. “Roast turkey “ was turkey rolll. The french fries were horrible. They were old and overcooked. The seven layer cake. It was hard as a rock. I sent it back. The matzo ball soup was bland. This place is just gone totally downhill. It has nothing to do with the Reel deli.
We got there at 8:31pm with the intention of eating a quick pastrami sandwich (max 15min in/out), and got turned away because they stop taking diners after 8:30pm. The waiter said it would be «too much to clean», even though the restaurant closes at 9pm. Save your money and go somewhere that wants your business and respects customers.
Their delivery is amazing. It's not inexpensive. I got take out.
