Lived here for a year, and have to say that though this was affordable in terms of the rent for the space it provides, there were several drawbacks. Biggest problem was the lack of cleanliness in the common areas, especially the hallways. They are ill-lit, very dusty, and seldom vacuumed or cleaned in any way. Are covered with dead leaves, wrappers, dead insects, coffee stains, and so on. NOISE Review: 2918 Apartments There are many great things about these apartments, but soundproofing is not one of them! Let me explain: The floors are super thin, and you get a lot of street noise from Martinsville Rd., specially at night, when loud trucks and cars speed through the street revving their engines very loudly as they go. Martinsville Road is used as a cut through street to Lawndale, so there is actually a lot of traffic during the day as well.
