Spent a fantastic day yesterday at 28 Gates sight fly fishing for cruising trout and landing my biggest rainbow which must have been at least 5kg. Beautiful spot to get away from it all and experience some great fishing. Definitely will visit again and try again for the elusive tiger trout.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids (11 & 9) were lucky enough to stay at 28 Gates over the Christmas period. The property is beautifully renovated whilst keeping its rich history. We enjoyed fishing, feeding the animals, walking around the tranquil surrounds of the farm.||||Susie was the most gracious host who made us feel so welcome with her tours. We stayed at 28 Gates and had a wonderful few days. The Parsons family are very welcoming and we enjoyed delicious meals every evening. Got to feed the animals and spend time down at the lake. I'd totally recommend it to anyone who loves farm life.
Our stay at 28 Gates included 2 of our married sons and their wives, plus our granddaughter. The house has 3 Queen/King bedrooms upstairs, which was ideal, plus a modern bathroom in between with shower and free-standing bath. There was a very large extra bathroom downstairs with shower and toilet which took the pressure off at peak times. Also included in this room was a very large washing machine and dryer, great for the traveller on the go.
