This is a tough review, because the food was excellent; it was the service that was so very bad it brought the whole experience down. We came here with friends for the first time out after moving to Boerne. The atmosphere was fine; clean and not too noisy. Brantley’s 259 Bistro is my favorite restaurant in Boerne. They have the best Schnitzel in the Hill Country. They also serve great Axis, Cabrito and Wagyu burgers along with delicious fries. Their house salad with rice dressing and grilled chicken is the best. They also have a bar out back with live music Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
A must for dining and entertaining.
My wife and I stopped there for drinks and a snack while shopping recently. I ordered an Old Fashioned. It was good until I noticed the two flies in my drink, underneath the ice. I brought it the server’s attention and the bartender made me a new one and said they’d give me a discount on the drinks. He gave me 75 cents off my drink. 37.5 cents per fly.
