Fabulous find! Lucky to have booked a room one of two rooms (a 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom) behind the historic Edmondston-Alston house. Our one bedroom townhome setup was both cozy and very comfortable for our 3 night stay. The kitchen was hocked full of all the necessities for tea, coffee, and basic kitchen needs. And our innkeeper Julie spun up some amazing breakfast treats, including, both individual egg quiches and freshly baked muffins. We made reservations here. We later had to cancel but were well within the full refund cancellation period. We even received an email saying we would receive a full refund. When we didn’t, we followed up and were told we needed to contact our credit card company. We did and disputed the charge which the credit card company resolved in our favor. We did get a full refund but it should not have required that we dispute the charge with our credit card company. For clarification, the reservation was made by my wife, Laura. She r... read more

My stay at 21 East Battery Bed & Breakfast was absolute perfection from start to finish. The property itself is stunning — a true piece of Charleston history. I stayed in the carriage house, which is gorgeous, spacious, and full of charm. Walking through the beautiful wrought iron gates leading up to it felt like stepping back in time in the best possible way. Inside, everything was spotless and thoughtfully designed. My wife and 2 daughters stayed here this past weekend and absolutely loved it! From it's perfect location to all things Charleston, to the amazing fresh baked breakfast goods provided by Julie, to the wonderful accommodations, it was all a 5 star experience. And top it off that the home itself is so full of history. Thank you for a spectacular 3 days.
