Cost-cutting Hotel The property is under new ownership and is totally different. No longer a bnb. But they’re still benefitting from old reviews that no longer apply. They cut corners at every opportunity. Individually these might sound nitpicky, but taken together they really define your stay. - Room is too cold. Have been staying here for years and loved the quaintness of the property. This year, everything changed. No more homieness bit total automation. In some cases good, but lacks the true b and b experience which brought us here in the first place. In addition, as I mentioned, everything is automated sonifbyiu have a problem, you have to call an 800#. We had an issue with internet on our first night. SO THRILLED! You never know what you're going to get. But this place meets or beats expectations! I'm picky about bed linens and towels, and they outed themselves and were generous with extra blankets and extra towels in the room. It was beautiful to spend a couple of days here. We don't want to leave. we immediately sent pictures to our adult children so that we can all organize a long weekend together at this beautiful home with pool and outdoor fire area. Just stunning!
I have stayed at the Inn for more than a decade with my friends and family, but was very disappointed in my most recent trip there. The breakfast offerings were limited and did not seem fresh. The guest bathroom off the lobby was FILTHY. More than any of this, the staff (with the exception of Kat) were not at all warm or welcoming. They were curt, did not make eye contact, and kept cigarettes visible on the counter. A simple request to turn off bright patio lights to improve sleep went unneeded.
