Worst title company of all time dealing with Monteil Bruce. I've closed several hundred of deals in the past 10 years and their team was the worst I've dealt with. Our team had to review legal descriptions for them and send recommended corrections to them. In addition, Monteil cancelled my survey even though we ordered and planned to close without it. Absolutely the worst title company, if I could give them negative 1,000 stars, I would!

Communication was severely lacking, document preparation was way behind, they refunded me $15,000 that was supposed to go to the seller and then had me forward her the check instead of them handling it. They also contacted my HOS directly and told them to credit them with my $500 overpayment instead of asking me what I wanted to do with it. Never emailed docs after closing. Stay far away. I wouldn’t trust these people with my transactions.

This title company is atrocious. They were an absolute nightmare to deal with during escrow, then a year after closing, I've come to find out that the tax prorations they collected upon included exemptions from the seller twice removed from my transaction. The county rolled back the tax bill onto me and they just told me to try and get reimbursement from the seller (whom the exemption wasn't even tied to). Filing an claim on my OTP. Do not use these guys!
