UPDATE: I can only hope that there is a new owner for 1st line and that is why they responded today to a 10 year old review. But to make sure the facts are on the table, I endured a raft of baseless legal threats, screaming phone calls, cancelled orders and all kinds of shenanigans from the owner 10 years ago for leaving a factual and completely accurate review. I am really happy I bought with 1st-line Equipment. My first ordered machine got damaged during shipping (transporters fault, packaging was proper), and Jim was super helpful in solving the issue quickly. It’s great to have a shop close by that not only delivers the machine but also can help with repairs and has spare parts at hand. Highly recommend!

1. The machine I bought (Bezzera Crema DE HX) is advertised with volumetric control, but in practice this does not behave like true volumetric dosing. But my machine functions as a time-based water output rather than delivering a consistent volume. This becomes evident when changing grind size: in a true volumetric system, the dispensed volume should remain largely consistent. Here, it varies, while the duration of water flow stays constant.
