I love this restaurant! The Empanadas are incredible! Every time I visit Florida I will drive hours out of the way just to visit one of the 1928 locations.
We ordered the Beef Empanada. Very flavorful . Thought the dough would be more like croissant though.
Kind of torn about this place. Their pastries are delicious and fresh. Their sandwiches are pretty good, I would probably go back for them. But then their coffee was very disappointing. Asked for a cortadito and it was the size of a latte and tasted burnt - authentic cuban cortaditos are small, equal parts sweetened espresso and milk... this was not good.
Okay, expensive but decent copy of (for a fast) food style Cuban cuisine. "No table service, clients clean up the table, prior to seating."
