Horrible service and the food not that impressive + we did not get that "at home" feeling neither! My husband & I went for an early Sunday breakfast so the place was pretty empty - but yet we still had "bad" service. We had to ask everything! It took 3 requests for my husband to get his refill of coffee. Our waiter had never gone back to check on us, and when we asked for our bill - he had to chat with the other waiter - holding our bill - before giving it to us. one friday night, my wife and i wanted a place to eat in santa monica. we drove around and randomly chose the 17th St. Cafe.We where blown away by the food. This was 2 1/2 years ago and i dont remember what i had, but both my wife and I, feel this the best place we ever have eaten at in LA!
The tomato, garlic, fresh basil and smoked mozzarella omelette is to die for!So is the croissant bread french toast.Oh, Im getting hungry just thinking about it.
Great food, service, and overall experience.
