This was by far the worst CDL school that ann could ever go to. I went here In May of 2023, and like most people, I had my hopes up being sold that they had a high passing rate and had hands on trainers. Coming to find out, that it was the complete opposite. Everything is first come, first serve as far as the teaching and being hands-on with the students goes. Got my CDL today one and done! Decided to make this honest review after reading the bad comments this school has gotten. The classroom part is pretty straight forward you just have to study a lot for the permit. The yard instructors at 160 Houston are some of the best teachers I’ve had in life. They’re patient with you if you’re having trouble with pretrip or maneuvers. They’re not here to hold your hand if that’s what you’re into. I chose 160 Driving Academy because it seemed like a fast-paced option that fit my short break from subcontracting work. It was advertised as efficient, affordable, and structured but it turned out to be the complete opposite. What was supposed to take a few weeks dragged into months,The entire operation feels disorganized and profit-driven.
