The instructors bring decades of experience to the class (at least in the yard training) and will equip you with the knowledge you need to get your CDL-A. Don't count on corporate to actually help you get a job and keep in mind truck driving is not for the faint of heart.
I want to start off by saying I recommend 160 driving academy to any student that wants to obtain their CDL! 10 out of 10 experience!! The entire process was smooth! From doing the classes on zoom to moving on the yard and working with Mr rich & rasheed! Both amazing instructors! They teach you all the information you need and train you well! First off some of these reviews stating things about trainers aren't true!I graduated and obtained my cdl Thursday July 10th..one and done!!Mr. rich and Rasheed hope i spelled it right were amazing to me without both of them I never would have gained the skills needed to excel in this industry! Excellent school, excellent atmosphere of teachers/people, and an amazing balance between the two instructors in Chris and Jon.
Well my experience at the 160 driving academy was good, Ms Faith Turner, she does a great job processing students,, but when I got out to the yard for the last bit of my training with the tricks, they lack good trainers, Mr. Rich one of the instructors went to sleep for almost 2 hours, and he was suppose to be instructing, but he was busy sleeping on the job. The equipment is crap, there's only one instructor, and he's crap, that yard is a mess, they need to do better and stop playing with people's education. Mr. Rich didn't... read more
