First off some of these reviews stating things about trainers aren't true!I graduated and obtained my cdl Thursday July 10th..one and done!!Mr. rich and Rasheed hope i spelled it right were amazing to me without both of them I never would have gained the skills needed to excel in this industry! Excellent school, excellent atmosphere of teachers/people, and an amazing balance between the two instructors in Chris and Jon.
Well my experience at the 160 driving academy was good, Ms Faith Turner, she does a great job processing students,, but when I got out to the yard for the last bit of my training with the tricks, they lack good trainers, Mr. Rich one of the instructors went to sleep for almost 2 hours, and he was suppose to be instructing, but he was busy sleeping on the job. The equipment is crap, there's only one instructor, and he's crap, that yard is a mess, they need to do better and stop playing with people's education. Mr. Rich didn't... read more
I SPENT OVER $5000 OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY FOR MY FIANCÉ TO ATTEND THIS SCHOOL THEY HAD HIM PRACTICE ON A MANUAL EVERY DAY ON THE YARD AND THEN TOLD HIM NOT TO TEST ON A MANUAL AND NOW THEY WANT HIM TO PAY ANOTHER $2500 DOLLARS FOR HIM TO PRACTICE ON THE YARD FOR A WEEK AND UTILIZE A TRUCK TO RETEST AT THE MVA FOR A MANUAL RESTRICTION LIFT. NOBODY WANTED TO HIRE HIM EXCEPT FOR WESTERN EXPRESS AFTER THEY ASKED THE NAME OF THE SCHOOL HE WENT TO AND THE JOB HE HAS ACQUIRED HE NEEDS HIS MANUAL RESTRICTION LIFTED.
