A great restaurant in Rockland. Reservations in August are a must.
We had dinner at 13 Oak on a Friday night, which is always a good test for a restaurant, and this one passed with flying colors. It’s a relatively small restaurant with an equally small menu, but what they do, they do very well. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. The warm, tasty bread appetizer was a great start. Lovely food, friendly service, limited wine list. Huge portions. Great experience.
The meals were overpriced, and over complicated, out of 4 of us only the crispy duck was well prepared although the whipped feta was almost non existent. The menu descriptions lack key information. It could be a great place but it needs a lot of fine tuning.
