My 81-year-old father is a Vietnam veteran with 100% VA disability. After several falls, the VA's occupational therapy team arranged for a vertical lift to be installed at his home, and 101 Mobility was the company assigned to the job. I cannot recommend them and would actively steer any veteran or elderly family away from this company. I have had mixed results with 101 Mobility in Greenville. A year ago, I contacted them because our automatic door opener stopped working. I explained that my daughter was in high school and took the bus home and couldn't get into the house without the door opener and we were at work. The best they could offer was 3 weeks out. I asked if they could make it any earlier and they said they'd let me know if they had a cancellation. Tried to contact the manager but he never returned my messages. The company doesn't seem to care too much about little issues with your lift. We have been missing a leg from our platform for the lift for 2 months and they don't seem to care about getting out here to get it done(still don't have it by the way). Then they demand you pay them after the job is "done" and it's not. With how much these lifts cost, everything should be 100% done before demanding payment. The lift itself is fine and does what we need, but I just didn't feel like we were a priority to them.
One evening after the 101 Mobility office had closed for the day, my chairlift which had been installed by their company, failed. I had the personal number for the technician, Tilen Casey, who had previously worked on it. He answered my call, and came out on a cold, rainy evening, got the chairlift working. He was very kind and encouraging and was willing to help. We appreciate his kind attitude and willingness to help.
Had appointment to get lift installed & they didn't even start working on it till a hour later!!!
