It would be VERY helpful for those of us that live outside of town ( or those visiting) to be able to see the hospital closures on the website! Right now, the emergency room is closed for 2 days, but the website still says it is open 24 hours. PLEASE! Also, how about being able to call a real person to get information on wait times, if my requisition was received, etc.
Went in the ER for an ankle + knee sprain. I was okay with the wait time even though I had to wait 3.5 hours just to be seen and then 1 hour just to get an xray. Waited one more hour for the doctor PJ to even act like he cared. He was dismissive about the concerns I brought up and didn’t really respond well to my questions. Maybe he had a bad day, maybe something else was going on, but as his patient, I felt disrespected and uncared. I hope he works on this. They do the best they can given the current Healthcare situation in B.C.
It is a small hospital with emergency room and lab for analysis. Sometimes it is closed due to shortage of doctors.
Every time I go its 6+ hours. Staff sits around on their phones ignoring you.
