Unfortunately on Wednesday 5/29 this week, Salem Baptist Church suffered severe roof damage due to the storm that went through Salem. This storm practically blew the entire roof off our Education Building. As you can imagine the standing water and water damage was extensive inside the Church building. We recently experienced a water leak from our upstairs bathroom into the kitchen ceiling. Being an older home with layers of lath, plaster, and sheetrock, the plumbers could not even attempt to repair the leak until significant parts of the water-logged ceiling were removed.
