Zero stars wasn't an option so 1 it is. So I ordered a unit and stored my items for a month (just a month). When packrat dropped my container off my husband and myself opened it and saw mice feces over everything (boxes,totes,ect). Once everything was out we noticed a huge gap on the side of the container which we took pictures of and came to the conclusion on how they were able to get in. 🛑Horrible company. Everything will be good until you pay them And they have your property. They will raise prices on you and try to use leverage against you because they have your property. They played us for a classic bait and switch. We had an agreement to have our property shipped across country and arrive at our new location on a certain date but all the sudden halfway across the country we look and they totally undid the scheduling so now nothing will arrive when it's supposed to. Can’t say I’m impressed with the service I received. First, the driver called at 7pm letting me know he was on the way. The unit didn’t arrive until after 9pm, and it isn’t exactly very quiet. Then, I was charged for an additional month of rental after only keeping the unit for 8 days out of a month. When I called asking if it could be prorated, they said there was nothing they could do. PackRat is an okay company with some frustrating issues. The storage units themselves are decent — a bit beat up but functional for the price. My main problem is how often they raise the rent. They increase prices multiple times a year, which adds up quickly. They claim to notify customers about rate increases via email, but they say the emails come from a third-party system (not the portal you actually log into or get a quote).
