We used 1-800-PACK-RAT for our recent move and had a great experience. We ended up using three containers throughout the process, and their team was incredibly helpful every step of the way. be very careful with this company. if it goes without a hitch then fine, but if as in my case, their driver does any damage to your property, including driveway/sprinklers, they will not cover it. So all is at your own risk! this makes dealing with them potentially very costly. ***of note I have reached out to pack rate and filed a claim and went through the entire process. The conclusion is this is a company that does not take responsibility for negligent behavior of their drivers.

The whole experience was pretty easy. Decide what size container best fits your needs and then schedule to have it delivered. I like being able to load the container at our pace and once done being able to schedule for pickup to have it stored locally until we need it.

They are very difficult to contact and the website makes it seem like you can call them and get your unit within 48 hours but that is not the case. It was like 5 days before I could schedule for my pod to be dropped off and over a week to get them to pick it up. The employees that I spoke with over the phone were kind and patient, but it seems like they have management problems. If you are in the Kansas City area, I recommend using UNITS of KC. Dropped off and picked up on dates scheduled. Stuff shuffled a bit, looked like somewhere in the travels it tipped pretty good to one side, but overall, great deal!
