This is the worst company I’ve ever used. Customer service is a joke. Had my stuff stored for almost 4 years with them. Paid almost $25k in that time. Took almost a week from my original delivery date to get my unit delivered. Took 5 days from original scheduled pick up date to get unit picked up. On hold for hours waiting to get answers. No one is of assistance. Had to miss work and the subsequent pay I make the days I work. To Management, I am writing to formally log a serious complaint regarding the complete failure of service, breach of delivery timeline, and total lack of leadership accountability during my recent experience with 1-800-PACK-RAT. My container was scheduled to be shipped to Connecticut in time for my daughter to begin college. Omg!!!! Where were these negative reviews when I signed up! They are not reliable. They Come when they want and don’t follow up! Once they have everything on the truck, there’s no reason for them to answer your calls so you are an extensive holds. The price they quoted is never the price that you’re gonna pay when they come, they’re gonna quote significantly higher fuel charges. If you’re ever considering using 1-800-PACK-RAT do yourself a favor and DO NOT! My aunt has had her move booked for months. They were supposed to deliver the container 4 days ago. Yesterday they told her they could drop off the container at 11:00 pm and that she was 3rd in the list. They missed that, don’t drop off on Sunday and now her move is delayed by 3 days. I like the company and had no issues with my business with them in Houston nor Tampa. But I will NEVER use them on Long Island again. The Hauppauge warehouse team is the absolute WORST! Numerous times they didn’t stick to delivery days & times, didn’t answer phone calls, emails, and couldn’t be located by the front office. How they run a business is beyond me but should be investigated by the state. Either get a new warehouse crew/building or continue to loose business & money for their incompetence.
