Although I had called ahead to check that Dr. Waite was a provider on my insurance, the office failed to divulge that his surgical suite is not covered by insurance, and must be paid for out of pocket. For cataract surgery, that is $750 per eye, beyond the cost of the actual surgery. Then I was presented with a $4K (per eye) option, out of pocket. Our experience is very unique. We are a 3 office Optometric practice based in Fairfield County Ct. We have been in business since 1950. One of our doctors just finished a contact lens evaluation on a 30 year old healthy female. When inquiring, "are you still wearing your Dailies Total one contact lenses?", she told us she contacted 1-800 CONTACTS. They changed the contact lenses to a private label lens. I am an ophthalmology resident and worked closely with Dr. Waite through my training. I have watched him perform a lot of surgery and knew thatI could trust him with my eyes. And it was amazing! The front desk was helpful and flexible. The technicians were warm and friendly and took all anxiety out of the process. If I could give Dr. Aaron Waite and his staff a 6-star rating, I would. They were truly outstanding. I felt like I was among family during my LASIK procedure. My vision is 20/15. I attribute that to Dr. Waite's skill and state-of-the-art technology. Also, his team is by far the nicest, most professional people you will ever meet as far as vision correction goes. I wholeheartedly recommend them, not only for LASIK but for the full spectrum of vision correction. I can't wait to bring my Dad in!
