I too have been twice and stayed in both a chalet with my husband and a lodge with my daughter and grandson. I concur with the reviews just below mine. So not to repeat. wanted to add that Joy and Simon most welcoming and will point out things to do in the local area, they are also the epitome of ecofriendly. Along with the wildlife you are also welcome to visit their chickens and guinea pigs which we did often. All the feed is provided in your chalet/lodge for feeding possums, kangaroos, bandicoots and birds. I might add th... read more

Yelverton Brook Conservation Sanctuary is a truly unique experience. The accommodation is simple but very comfortable and clean as a whistle. The amenities are excellent. A good stove, cooking utensils, a barbecue and even a hot tub! The kangaroos, possums and exotic birds are always around the outside of the house. The experience really involves living among them. I recommend Yelverton Sanctuary to anyone and could imagine it as a wonderful base for a family holiday.

The second time we came here for a relaxing time specially for the kids to enjoy the wildlife, we loved to see baby possum riding on the back of her mum, so cute. All the Joey Roos in the pouches are. The kids loved feeding and patting the kangaroos. The location is perfect with so many things to do in every direction.

Homely, comfortable getaway. Lodge was well stocked, beds were comfortable and experience with the animals was unforgettable.

An absolutely fantastic stay! We stayed 3 nights here with our 2 children, as soon as we arrived we were greeted by a flock of kangaroos- some with Joeys in their pouch. In the evening friendly possums and bandicoots come for a visit. The facilities are very thoughtful and you’re made to feel right at home. The kids LOVED it, we wish we booked for longer and we will definitely come back if we plan another journey in the area.
